[pimatic-dht-sensors] node-dht-sensor update for testing

Applies to users using pimatic-dht-sensors with pimatic 0.9.

As some users have issues with pimatic-dht-sensors devices providing wrong sensor values I have updated the underlying node-dht-sensor library package. Actually, pimatic-dht-sensors is based on a fork of the orginal node-dht-sensor project to be able to use “wiringPi” pin numbering instead of the BCM pin numbering which confused a lot of users.If you’re using pimatic-dht-sensors it’ll be great if you can trial the recent changes as follows:

EDIT: Due to various issue with fork I have changed the implementation to use the mainstream node-dht-sensors library. Hi @mwittig! I’m trying to get working the DHT22 with my Pimatic but so far no success…

If I run the test from within the node_module folder I’m getting correct values: http://take.ms/Ovb6z
If I set up plugin in Pimatic, create a device this is what I get: http://take.ms/mhlTU

I reinstalled the plugin couple time, using Pimatic UI, using command line, setting up the device using UI or config file but still the same. I have BCM2835 library installed…

Could you please advise me what to change to make it working? Thanks a lot!

@Jan-Hicl Note, pimatic-dht-sensors uses the WiringPi pin numbering scheme by default in contrast to node-dht-sensors which uses the BCM GPIO numbering scheme, see also 2nd paragraph at https://github.com/pimatic/pimatic-dht-sensors#device-configuration.

You have the following alternatives to fix your configuration:

• Change the "pin" value as part of the device configuration to the WiringPi pin equivalent, i.e. 8 (Assuming you have a Raspi Rev 2 board). See also 1st diagram at http://wiringpi.com/pins/
• alternatively, you can use the BCM numbering scheme, by adding the property/value "pinType": "BCM GPIO" to the device configuration

@mwittig then I’m sorry for this stupid question I of course tried both numbers 2 and 8 but after I entirely reinstalled the plugin because the installation was broken I forgot to try that again… Thanks for your help, works perfectly now!
