TSOP4838 and Pimatic/homeduino?

Hello,

my setup is a Raspberry Pi B+ with connected Arduino Nano running homeduino.
I own some TSOP4838 IR-Sensors and want to catch the IR-Signals from my Logitech Harmony Ultimate to send RF-Signals to my Switches.
Is this possible with my setup? And if so… how do i manage to get it work?

I use inputlirc + irexec with my setup. The irexec calls a script which updates the pimatic api

Is there no way to create a plugin for IR Sensors?
That would be great.

The solution i am working on should be nearly as simple as a plugin. I was already successful receiving and recording commands from my YAMAHA remote. I’m currently stuck at sending out these recorded commands. I think i bought the wrong parts or something. If someone is able to help me: http://forum.pimatic.org/topic/220/need-some-help-on-wiring

The part which is very important for you @Andre-Bensch is how you compute the received signals and use them to trigger lights in pimatic. I’m done for today, lets see what the weekend brings up.

I have an IR Receiver built in my box which is running pimatic. So this is the easiest way I guess…
You setup lirc with inputlirc just normal to receive your remote (howtos are all over the Internet).

Now you need irexec (which is part of lirc) to do something with the commands and call a script. Example from my /etc/lirc/lircrc file:

Additional information for the answer of georg90:
You can simply connect the TSOP4838 to raspberry:
Data GPIO-PIN12 (GPIO18)
V+ GPIO-PIN1 (+3.3V)
V- GPIO-PIN6 (GND)

And then follow these few linux commands:

In the end of the “alexba” tutorial you record signals of your own remote. You can then use these recorded signals to execute the python scripts as @georg90 described.

I think i will make a tutorial on this at the weekend, but cant promis.
