Question about wemos d1 mini and relay shield and garage door opener

Hello together,
i have a little question, i want to use a wemos d1 mini with a relay shield to control my garage door.
My garage-door opener has a contact to switch by a "external pushbutton"
So the button works like this: push button - garage door opens, push it again, garage door stops, push it third time garage door closes.
So my question is, can i configure the relay (with espimatic for example) that it only sends a short “ON” signal?
Normally it is, after pressing button in state “ON” if i press the button again in state “OFF”

You could use a pimatic rule to switch the relais on for just 1 second.
espimatic itself is not able to handle that. It is just the middleware.

Maybe it is possible with espeasy to just switch on a relais a short time since espeasy can handle simple rules on the chip itself.

Hey @HarrySteff, ESPEasy it should be handle. I can think of a combination Pimatic button + Pimatic rules (http command) and ESPEasy rules.

Mhhh okay… But i have another idea: do you think i will Need the relay-Shield at all? Maybe the esp8266 itself can close the contact between 2 Pins for a short Time?
No Voltage is needed there… Just a idea, what do you mean?

I think you need that relay or transistor. Electrical circuits garage door itself has some voltage and current.
