Currently I’m trying to setup a PIR-Sensor on Arduino Nano with NRF24l01+ module. The other NRF24 is directly connected to my Raspberry where pimatic runs. But I can’t get them to talk to each other, I think I’m missing something here. I installed this library to my Pi: https://github.com/mysensors/Raspberry , edited the config files to my Pin Configuration (the module on my Pi seems to work, when I start the Ping test with the wrong Pin there’s an error (RF24 HARDWARE FAIL: Radio not responding, verify pin connections, wiring, etc.), when it’s edited correctly there’s no error, only reply timeouts like expected. So I started ./PiGatewaySerial which creates the /dev/ttyMySensorsGateway device for the Pimatic plugin. The pimatic mysensors Plugin is also able to connect to this. Then I created a PIR device like described. My nano with Pir-sensor is flashed with the Motion scetch from mysensors.org.
But It just doesn’t work, there’s no debug message in pimatic, nothing. I don’t fully understand what sensor ID and node ID are:
{
"id": "PIR",
"name": "PIR",
"class": "MySensorsPIR",
"nodeid": 10,
"sensorid": 2,
"resetTime": 8000
},
I thought the modules connecting to gateway are given a node id automatically by the controller (in this case pimatic-mysensors).
So I don’t know what to edit here, also I can’t find any information about this.
Next thing is when I check the serial console from the nano with Pir module it only says “check wiring” or something like that, but I double checked that. Everything’s connected like in the mysensors.org guide.
Did someone manage to set this up?
