[Solved] RF PIR with Nano sender and Homeduino receiver

Hi, I am using the generic_RF protocol from Yves to make a RF PIR by myself.
I use a PIR sensor in combination with a Nano and a RF sender.
I have added some rules to include the pir sensor, from the sender point of view all seems to work fine.
Now I get the following output in my pimatic debugscreen:

(the value will change from 0 to 1 when the pir is activated. )

What should i put in the json file under the “devices” section?
I tried to use the Generic RF Sensor with arduino sender but with no succes. Also the PIR sensor example didn’t go as planned.

Below an example of what i did to count kWh that i consume:

It will calculate the amount of energy consumed : baseValue + value received from the node.

For the usage you descibe here i think you should more use an existing PIR protocol rather than mine (purpose is different)

I think it is easier to implement one of the pir protocols in the arduino. Then you can use the Standart pir protocol of pimatic with the contact device

It seems I got stuck on using a Nano to act like an RF pir, also I would be nice to use the nano, witch has 12 ports, as a KAKU RF switch too.
I am surpriced nobody tried this before? i tried to use the homeduno.ino script as a start but this one does only work via makefile.

You can use the RFControl library to implement every protocol do you want. The Homeduino.ino is not the right way for this.

Thanks for the tip, I inspected the RFControl library and tried out the example with a Kaku remote and a arduino nano with an rf receiver.
And I see the code apearing in the serial monitor. Now I would like to get an output pin high (for example pin10) when i receive the protocol for the on-switch on the remote. I see the B: with a bunch of number and a t: (timings) .
How to translate the four groups of numbers into ID, All, State and Unit?
because the numbers don’t match the output wich i see in Pimatic debug.
Just would like to simulate a kaku relay switch.

I have done a similar thing trying to see the ID, Unit, on/off information.
Not sure if this helps, but give it a try.

@a4tje Maybe you have fixed it by now. But for sending our the PIR protocol from your Nano to homeduino you can also use my routine. I use it with a PIR device and Attiny85 to control one of my lamps. https://github.com/rspaargaren/RF_Transmit. The RFcontrol.h library by @Icesory seems a very good basis for the receiving part.

The library https://github.com/rspaargaren/RF_Transmit looks really good. I think with this you can easily solve your problem.

@Icesory: i have modified the NewRomteRecveiver example, that works fine with me, i also include a led when receiver hasn’t got it’s adrescode yet. Works fine!
