Thanks, I ordered a Raspberry Pi anyway. I am sure I can find a use for it regardless
Can anyone who is currently using the fronius plugin tell me what you can do with it? Can you setup rules based on the figures coming from the Fronius? Thank you!

As soon as you have data in pimatic available you can setup rules as you like. depending on what the inverter delivers ofc.

@daveaus145 To be honest I’m only using the plugin for a quick overview and as I own a battery storage, there is no real need for load balancing.
But as said by the others you should be able to use the device attributes in your rules.
If I find time I will try to set up an example.
I have a device named Photovoltaik, which has an attributes with name “currentPower”. So, the rule below will turn a device on for 2 hours if PV is delivering a power of more than 500 W for at least 5 minutes. This rule may trigger multiple times, I’m not sure about this…
if currentPower of Photovoltaik is greater than 500 for 5 minutes and ManualSwitchOverride is turned off then switch HeatPumpSwitch on for 2 hours
Regards Markus
thats my rules:
rule : if powerGrid of Fronius Inverter is less than -600 then turn fibaro_relais1 on for 60 minutes
rule : if powerGrid of Fronius Inverter is greater than 0 and fibaro_relais1 is turned on for 60 minutes then turn fibaro_relais1 off
but that is still not optimal
So I have my pi running pimatic and the fronius plugin. It seems to work perfectly with the Fronius Primo. I just need to spend some time understanding the rules and I think this solution is going to do exactly what I want. Thanks all.
which rule do you use?
I have Fronius Datalogger Web (first model 2008 no wlan) is possible to use this plugin? How can i configure ?
i configure the device in this mode:
"id": "1",
"class": "FroniusInverterRealtimeData",
"name": "Fronius Inverter",
"host": "192.168.1.180",
"deviceId": 1,
"threshold": 50

31.05.2016 20:56:39 Fronius Inverter (1) CurrentAmperage 0 A
31.05.2016 20:56:39 Fronius Inverter (1) Status Unknown
but all the data are 0
Help me to configure this plugin …
Thank
you can check the config schema for more information

maybe you need to set username and password? sorry, i don’t have a fronius but a sma
you could try it like that :
"id": "1",
"class": "FroniusInverterRealtimeData",
"name": "Fronius Inverter",
"host": "192.168.1.180",
"username": "whatever",
"password": "blabla",

Don’t know what’s up with the deviceId. Has the interter a uniqe ID?
Maybe @mwittig can help further?

I don’t think I can be of great help here as I don’t have the Datalogger Web to test with. Maybe @Markus-Plessing or @madison5 can help?!
It may be required to upgrade the firmware of the data logger. @romix Do you know which firmware version is currently installed on your Datalogger Web device? See also http://www.fronius.com/cps/rde/xchg/SID-07220F8B-6C56B137/fronius_international/hs.xsl/83_20347_ENG_HTML.htm#.V069j2iLTRZ

Hey all,
So the fronius is working well however I can’t get the rules to work how I want. I am using the pushbullet plugin for now, when I get it working how I want I will set up actions to turn various things on / off.
My current rules work but it seems to ignore the 5 minute part. So whenever the powerGrid passes 500 / -1000 / -2000 it sends the push message regardless of if it has stayed there for 5 minutes.
What I would like is for the message not to come until its sat at more than -1000 for 5 minutes. Is there a way to do averages? So if the powerGrid figure has averaged more than -1000 for 5 minutes then send the message?
Any ideas?
"rules": [
{
"id": "exporting-1000",
"name": "Exporting 1000",
"rule": "if powerGrid of Fronius Inverter 2 is less than -1000 for 5 minutes then push title:\"Grid\" message:\"Exporting 1000w\"",
"active": false,
"logging": true
},
{
"id": "exporting-2000",
"name": "Exporting 2000",
"rule": "if powerGrid of Fronius Inverter 2 is less than -2000 for 5 minutes then push title:\"Grid\" message:\"Exporting 2000w\"",
"active": true,
"logging": true
},
{
"id": "importing200",
"name": "Importing200",
"rule": "if powerGrid of Fronius Inverter 2 is greater than 200 for 10 minutes then push title:\"FromGrid\" message:\"Importing more than 200w for last 10 minutes\"",
"active": false,
"logging": true
}
],
Maybe a stupid question about the mathematical correctness but “less than -1000” would be -999 and “greater than -1000” would be -1001 ?
