Netatmo-plugin support of rain gauge and wind sensor

as far as I understand the rain gauge and the wind sensor are not supported yet with the netatmo-plugin - or do I missed something?

They are supported but I have no idea if they work and if the supplied values are of any use as I always pull the latest values and not averages or something similar.

Feel free to donate hardware then I’ll be happy to support better.

Just use NetatmoRainSensor and NetatmoWindGauge as class in the config.

Maybe it should be more clearly stated in the readme. I will add it as soon as I get some feedback that the data is fine the way it is provided.

Thank you. Tried these classes - but I get the following error message:

There were quite some typos and copy/paste errors did never even try to instantiate one of the devices. Should work now, I just published a new version of the plugin. However I’m still not sure how useful the data is in it’s current form.

Would be great if you can test a bit and give some feedback.

now I can start it. There is still a problem with gathering the data. For the Windsensor for each data element (wind strength, wind dir, gust strength, gust dir) - it shows “Unbekannt” (unknown data). The RainGauge shows 0 - might be correct, because currently it’s not raining

Looks like the API is not returning values for the request. Can you enable debug output and post it here?

the values are there in the debug window - but without Windspeed (there is no entry for this):

Found another typo in the variables. Update published. Really is a pain without the devices.
I have to learn how to write testcases for node to simulate this data.

can’t update pimatic-netatmo to 007. Getting the error message: “Can’t update a git repositoty!” I didn’t find a .git directory in the node_modules subdirectories as mentioned in another post. Never change a running system . Any idea?

wired, just updated my live system via normal update mechanism and it worked fine.

Had the problem before that some other plugin was from git and thus no updates were possible at all.

The easiest option is to delete the plugin and restart pimatic. It should then be installed to the latest version as far as I understand.
Maybe this can also be done from the GUI by removing it and adding it again in the plugin section.

@chris321 You can try install the base of pull request 9 referred to by leader21 as follows:

cd pimatic-app
sudo npm i mwittig/pimatic-netatmo#patch-2 --unsafe-perm
sudo service pimatic restart
