[solved]Permission denied

I’ve recently installed pimatic on a raspberry pi3 running raspbian jessie 8.
When trying to access the webserver over HTTP there is a permission denied message.

There is also a xhr-poll error…retrying message displayed at the bottom of the page.
The pimatic-daemon.log file does not show any errors when starting the pimatic service.

try to switch the port to 80 in config.json and set a password if you haven’t done yet

Did you try to reach pimatic on port 8000?
http:// ipadressfrompi:8000
Why did you choose this port? Are you running an Webserver on port 80 like apache or nginx?

If the aforementioned hints do not help, shutdown pimatic and start from the command line as follows:

# cd to the pimatic installation directory
cd pimatic-app
sudo node_modules/pimatic/pimatic.js

This way you should get an error message.

I was running a evok server using port 80 which I have now stopped.
I’m now running pimatic on port 80 and can now see the login box flipping away which relates to another previous post that is solved.

Strangely I was not able to see the login box flipping away when I was running pimatic on port 8000 I could only see the permission denied message.

Removing the pimatic-app/node_modules/pimatic-mobile-frontend folder and reinstaling the pimatic-mobile-frontend@0.8.82 that resolved the issue.

I also had to flush the cache on my web broser.

I’m now able to log in.

you can use pimatic between port 81 and 89 as well

As a test I’m able to run the pimatic on port 8000 without any issues.
To keep things simple I’m now using port 89.

My Pimatic works well on Port 8080
