Hello.
I’m using the 9.9 beta for 3 weeks in my production system. I’m very glad that it works very well.
I hope that the WOL plugin will be ported to the 0.9 version. So that I could wake up my NAS again.
Very good work

@StefanSchmid wol plugin should work. Do you get any errors?
Edit: a I see, the creator hasn’t published the changes to npm yet: https://github.com/thost96/pimatic-wakeonlan/commits/master
What you can do:
cd /home/pi/pimatic-beta
sudo rm -r node_modules/pimatic-wakeonlan
sudo npm install https://github.com/thost96/pimatic-wakeonlan.git
@mwittig Tested is not also pimatic-ultrasonic. Gonna make it in the coming days. Including pimatic-piblaster.
MQTT I’m developing on KVM. On it I have to use HW RPi
Pimatic = Smart Home
@sweebee @StefanSchmid Now it’s also published on NPM

@thost96 Thanks! Much appreciated.
Note, however, I have filed another PR to add the missing destroy() method devices need to implement with pimatic 0.9. Otherwise, a warning will be logged and updating a device with device editor may not work as expected. I have also fixed the image link as the current version does not render properly on npmjs.

@thost96 that is a very pleasant message. I’m back home on Wednesday and then I will test it on my Pi.
Thanx a lot
@mwittig thanks for your feedback and your work!

Hi @mwittig ! pimatic-lm-sensors is ported to support pimatic v0.9 since 4 days ago.
Thanks a lot for your port of pimatic-nut. It helped a lot for the port of pimatic-lm-sensors.
Keep up the good work guys!
@skarcha Excellent! Thank you very much for the update!

Wim, thank you very much for your feedback! Are you still using pimatic-websolarlog
? I am just curious as WSL does not appear to be further developed. Regarding pimatic-dht-sensors
I’ll have look into this, very soon.

@Wim-uit-Twente I have done the changes for pimatic-dht-sensors which also required some changes in the base library. It’ll be great if you can trial my fork as I currently don’t have any DHT sensors to test with.
# Change to the directory where pimatic is installed, e.g.
cd /home/pi/pimatic-app
# make sure you have the latest version of git installed
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install -y git
# Now, you should be able to installed the package from my fork as follows
sudo npm i mwittig/pimatic-dht-sensors --unsafe-perm
# Now, restart pimatic
sudo service pimatic restart
Now open the pimatic frontend in the web browser and open the “Plugins” page. You should now see the
pimatic-dht-sensors
on the list of installed plugins - if not reload the page. Then “Activate” the plugin and restart pimatic once again.

@leader21
This topic mentions nowhere:
I wanted to switch to 0.9 on my “backup” server, but I was short in time (and lazy ) and didn’t want to spend too much time last night. Also mentioning that there is a “v0.9 beta” would mention that there is some zip/tar.gz, but on the 0.9x pimatic branch is not a release version (yet).

This topic mentions nowhere:
- where to get/download it (https://github.com/pimatic/pimatic/tree/v0.9.x ?)
- how to install 0.9 (fresh, in place e.g. upgrade from 0.8, some git upgrade in the current install?)
- whether you can “simply” copy your old config.json and database to the new version if you decided to install it in parallel
- etc
Yes, correctly! This is not mentioned since it does not (yet) belong here into the open group.
v0.9 is not yet released, it’s still in testing phase. We want to preserve questions from “common users” about howto and so on, since there are still some bugs that might be hard to handle. Also not all plugins are working yet!!
We’re having a beta test group for v0.9 experienced users (like you are), who installed the pre-release, and a new category for those where all questions for 0.9 can be asked.

check this link https://github.com/pimatic/pimatic/issues/859
there you will find “Installing pimatic pre-release …”.
follow this and you should be able to install it.
Keep in mind that you need npm2 and node 4.x. You are not able to run v0.9 and v0.8 in parallel. Furthermore you should make backups of everything!
You can use your config.json for 0.9, it will be converted automatically. (again - have a backup Regarding the database I am not sure, but I doubt that a copy of the v0.8 works
.
Would be nice if you join the v0.9 beta tester group

Yes, please keep me posted!
Note, the package requires wiringPi to be installed. The package installer will now check this requirement and prompt a notice with a link to the wiringPi page if the library is not found on the system.

The DHT11 temperature sensor also does it again after I installed the software manually using the instructions given.
Thank you so much for the fast response.
@Wim-uit-Twente Thank you very much for testing! I have now published release 0.9.0 (beta) which can be installed via the frontend.

@mwittig HomeduinoContactSensor
I can no longer use HomeduinoContactSensor it gives the message: this.setupPolling is not a function.
A few days ago it was still possible. Then used Pimatic 0.9.12 and homeduino 0.9.1
now I use Pimatic 0.9.16 and homeduino 0.9.3
