ESP32, New Big Brother
Pimatic = Smart Home

Looking forward to it but I’m afraid it will not be available as cheap as the esp8266 anytime soon. I also think that it will need higher power. My biggest hope is that it will finally be strong enaugh for proper TLS/SSL.

Shoudl aalready be able on ESP8266 , but biggest issue is memory. If there will more then the current 32kb free mem/heap it should be easier.

Yes, I have built a little bare bones motion sensor this weekend which triggers pimatic API via SSL but it is very slow as the “GET” via SSL seems to take 2-3 seconds(light turns on after you are already through the corridor). Next thing I want to try is MQTT with TLS maybe it is faster as it has less protocol overhead.
