thx, where can i find the hardwareId?
@noxx you are asking for the espimatic don’t you?
for that you just need to define a gpio port at the espimatic setup page and connect the ds18b20 wit the data pin to it. but use a 4.7K resistor between power and data
check here for how to wire - it’s a raspberry example but the wiring is similar.

if you want to wire to your raspberry you can use this tutorial to get the id and the above device postet from @incmve
here’s the espimatic wiki https://github.com/koffienl/ESPimatic/wiki/DS18B20

espimatic with the DS18B20 works. espimatic-gui show
DS18B20 Temperature6.50 °C
but how can i see the value in my pimatic gui. there is no sample
for a DS18B20 Sensor
you need to make a variable in pimatic (sample $espds18b20), set the same variable name in esppimatic. if you have configure your pimatic IP/user/pass in esppimatic it should send the data to pimatic.
in pimatic make a variable device to show it in GUI.

hmm, thx
but will not work
{
"id": "esp01-temp",
"name": "Temperatur Hühnerstall",
"class": "VariablesDevice",
"variables": [
{
"name": "espimatic",
"expression": "$TempStall",
"type": "number"
}
]
},
did you create the variable TempStall in the pimatic variables menu?
you need to do this as this is the “container” for espimaticto push the data to.

No
You See my espimatic Sensor. Can you give me the correct code for pimatic please?
c’mon @noxx … you know how to create a variable don’t you
that’s it …

THX,
why show pimatic
error [pimatic]: Got string value for attribute espimatic of VariablesDevice but attribute type is number.
Value field is empty
change the “type”: “number” to “type”: "string"
you then won’t have a graph and history but the value of the variable should be shown.
what’s the value of the variable? you can see that in the variabels menu.

Type is value, expression is also possible
Value is empty, Number or string possible.
i had try Number and string, but i get no value…
{
"id": "esp01-temp",
"name": "TempStall",
"class": "VariablesDevice",
"variables": [
{
"name": "espimatic",
"expression": "$TempStall",
"type": "number"
}
]
}
but temp is a numbver, not a string ?!??!?!
@noxx
what about a litte chat …

here the screenshots of the variable and espimatic
{
"id": "esp01-temp",
"name": "TempStall",
"class": "VariablesDevice",
"variables": [
{
"name": "espimatic",
"expression": "$TempStall",
"type": "number"
}

}
so pimatic is receiving data.
my variable in pimatic
my espimatic

}

thx, but your setting will not run on my system, i dont no why
the only different is the GPIO Port, my is 2 and you use 4…
with your settings i get also
Got string value for attribute espds18b20 of VariablesDevice but attribute type is number.
Is the Pimatic config in ESPImatic correct ?

yes. i had make a clean/new installation of espimatic, and now with the same settings it works…
it would be nice, if you can add some sample (pimatic config, wiring diagram,…) for every device.

only a feature request
thx for help here.
