Second web page on pimatic server, possible?

We all know the Pi is a multifunctional device so…

Looking at http://michaelteeuw.nl/tagged/magicmirror i really really want to make this. Only thing is i think it would be a shame to have to use an extra Pi to serve this…

So I was wondering if it woudl be possible to host a webpage next to pimatic…Just to open it i just open it from another folder ( like http://MyPimaticURL/Dash ) ??

Anybody got a hint as to how to make this happen???

@Stokstaart You could easily install apache on the same Raspberry Pi as Pimatic, as long as you choose a other port.
Just do a sudo apt-get install apache2 and after that edit the /etc/apache2/ports.conffile and change the port from default 80 to something else.
You probably want to install PHP as well.

It would be simpler to let the apache or nginx webserver on the 80 or 443 (https) port and set pimatic on other ports. That’s how I do it.
In that case you have a straight-forward apache or nginx install, and imatic makes it easy on you by simply specifiying the ports in the top of the config.json

Okay, i need a new strategy. The port divert works like a charm, but it seems my PI is just short of processing power to display the page… It keeps on hitting 100% CPU load too bad actually, i finaly managed to turn the screen on & off based on movement (pir sensor) and some simple rules… I’ll just post them here in case somebody wants to make this themselves…
Screen on:
execute " tvservice --preferred > /dev/null
fbset -depth 8; fbset -depth 16; xrefresh"

Screen off:
execute “tvservice -o”

That is strange. The RPi is of course not a fast webserver but it should easily handle this situation. Mine does as well and with 5-6 connections (maximum simply not more devices in my house) it works fine also with several ESP’s reading/writing to my pimatic server.
I do not know how you exactly setup nginx but please check the logs (nginx specific or syslog or error.log) to see what is actually happening.

Edit: do you also have an RF sender/transmitter directly connected to your RPi? Because that will also take 30-40% CPU constantly

It’s not the server part that’s hogging the CPU, it’s the browser/page (lots of java) combo!
No RF connected (jet) and normal operations give me about 5% load…
