Hi,
has anybody tried to control a samsung smart tv via IP?
I have an UE40H6270. Controlling via App is possible. The next days I will try sniffing the network
Best regards
Chris

[workaround]Control Samsung Smart TV

@Clark2309
Is the App using wifi (tcp/ip) or IR?
I have a relative recent Samsung SmartTV overhere, but couldn’t make a connection with it apparentlySamsung stopped with a open service/port to control the TV over IP.If yours does work over IP, do searc for some python examples on controlling Samsung TV’s, there a re few implementations based on python.

as i just read the protocols are encrypted on models build after 2014.
using espimatic and an ir sensor for ir transmitting might be an option i guess, but then with lots of rules and workarounds.pimatic v0.9 has been released!
