[pimatic-hap] Support for pimatic homekit bridge

I have 2 questions:

Is it possible to use pimatic-hap on more than one Raspi? I have 3 Raspis in use - each of them with pimatic installed.

Second Question: I tried to use it with pimatic 0.9.33 (the latest version). Plugin installation works fine, but if I create a dummy switch (as described in the configuration example), I got the error message:
Invalid config of device “mein-dummy-switch”: Property “hap” is not a valid property

This is my configuration:

Should it work with 0.9.33?

@chris321 I tried with one running bridge on the raps and one development bridge on the mac. This worked. But i also configured different homes. Just make sure to use two different names for the bridges.
Config is as follows:

Regarding your 2nd question: the hap section just isn’t “allowed” for DummySwitch, but still works. If i find the time i will create a PR that enables extending the configuration schema of existing plugins. Then the error message will be gone. For the time being, just ignore the message, your configuration is fine.

I’m using the DummyShutter to open and close my garage. Under iOS 10 (doesn’t know if the problem also exists below iOS 10 with other homekit apps): If I switch the Shutter in pimatic, in the iOS Home Application it shows as “opening” and never reaches the open state - the same happens if I close the shutter via pimatic. Also if I use the following rule for switching my garden door (it just need an impulse to open the lock, therefore I created a rule to put the shutter down again after 5 seconds):

The rule works within pimatic (state is going to down). But state in homekit with iOS Home Application doesn’t change.

On the other hand, if I use the switches in the iOS 10 Home app - every changes will be done in pimatic - this works.

I also tried another 2 homekit apps - they had the same behaviour, so I assume it’s not an app bug.

Any idea?

does pimatic-hap work with iOS10 and Apple “Home” App? If it does how can i add pimatic in the Home App?

@daice It works really smooth! To add it you can just enter the pairing code: 031-45-154 found on github into the home app when homebridge is running.

It even adds/removes/updates devices when edited in Pimatic. The Apple Home app is by far the best home automation app I used so far.

i tried to add Pimatic with the pairing code but my phone tells me that it is not possible to add it. No connection could be made to this device .

@daice Can you send screenshot from your iOS device? I wonder how you can enter the code if the connection is not available in the first place…?

I didn’t have any problems for a long time. Maybe it helps if you reset your HomeKit settings on your iDevice and delete the hap-database folder in pimatic. Then restart pimatic.

@chris321 Sorry, didn’t find the time yet. But its on the list. I still have to find out whats the right way of setting the open, closing and closed states here.

When i start Home and try to add a device i see this:

If i enter a wrong code it tells me that the code is wrong.

I have tried to get it running by deleting thr hap-database, comlpete hap pluging, all home data on my ios device and in icloud. Nothing works.

@daice What pin are you using? If you changed it to your own, you can’t use too simple values. see https://github.com/KhaosT/HAP-NodeJS/issues/156

I use the std pin 031-45-154. I never changed it. As i said when i try another pin it tells me that the pin in wrong. If i enter the right one i get the second image and it tells me that no connection could be made.

Dit you have install all libraries?

sudo apt-get install libnss-mdns libavahi-compat-libdnssd-dev

I just have a similar error, i have delete the whole pimatic-hap plugin and activate it again. It seems like a problem on apple side. Apple dont like it, that you install one device twice.

@daice If you activate the debug logging, what does it say when you try to connect to the bridge?

For everyone who has problems with infinite switching or dimming loops: here is a new branch that hopefully fixes the problems . Fell free to test. If everything works, this will be in the next release.
