Atag cooking hood
Hi guys,
I have got a cooking hood with a nice remote. On the remote is says “seav txs4”. I cannot get the switch to work unfortunately. Can you help me??
@Dennis-Smit
maybe, if you could show up debug data.
check step 1 from this howto here http://forum.pimatic.org/topic/210/5-homeduino-and-rf-devices-433-mhz-transmitting-receiving
press the button from the remote for several times and post the output here.
if there is usable data, some homeduino dev may create a protocol for that if it does not exist.

@leader21 Chris,
What can I do in case there are no debug messages received?? I press all buttons, the hood reacts normally but Pimatic doens’t show anything…:-(
Does this mean it’s a mission impossible??
that’s really no good news! well, guess the homeduino rf sniffer is not able to decode the rf data.
@icesory is working on an improvent but this will take more time and won’t be done 'till end of summer.
hope after the rework you will get some data but cannot promise from my actual level of knowledge

Eventually it isn’t a 433MHz device. Can you search more information for your device?
pimatic rocks!!!
guess it’s that one http://www.seav.it/en/transmitters/txs4-new
here’s the spec in english
txs4 is 433 MHz acc. to the specs.
@Dennis-Smit do you have this device?

Yes!!!
Seav
Txs4
I found online that it supposed to be working on 433, so I thought it would not be a problem…
@Dennis-Smit you receiver works generally?
pimatic rocks!!!
@Icesory Yes, absolutely!
It has got 4 buttons: +, -, lights, timer.
The way it works is it’s got 4 levels, pressing - and + takes you to the next level. Lights is obvious and timer makes the unit work for 10 minutes on the level it was when you press the timer button.
I mean your pimatic-homduino receiver. Your bridge between pimatic an the RF ether.
pimatic rocks!!!
Oh, yeah, everything else works fine, several KaKu units, everything works out fine!
i got some material…!
it’s only for the lights, but it’s a start…:-)

unfortunately no debug signals for button + or -…:-(( i press the buttons, the hood reacts, but no debug in pimatic…
Guys,
I opened the remote just now and checked the dipswitches according the info in the pdf which is a couple of posts up. It seems like the diffrence between buttons light/timer and +/- is 18 versus 12 bits…
I can set all channels to 18 bits, but then i need to solder… that’s not my best skill, so i would prefer to solve it with software…:-)
went soldering anyway… ahhahahahah

am sure we’re having good ninjas here
