High CPU-Load

Hi,
I have some problems with my pimatic setup (including pilight). My CPU-Load is permanently running at 90-100% and after looking what “htop” in Terminal says, it seems, that the problem is the pilight plugin. I know, that there is the possibility for a low pass, but I think the load shouldn’t be that high anyway.

I’m using a Raspberry Pi B+
Linux version 4.1.13+ (dc4@dc4-XPS13-9333) (gcc version 4.8.3 20140303 (prerelease) (crosstool-NG linaro-1.13.1+bzr2650 - Linaro GCC 2014.03) ) #826 PREEMPT Fri Nov 13 20:13:22 GMT 2015

Does someone have an idea?

@Haydnspass It isnt really a solution to your problem, but I think the most people here would say “get rid off the pilight plugin” and you now even have the best reason.

When I switched from pilight to pimatic several months ago it only took me some hours to reproduce my setup with pimatic. You maybe have to wire your 433mhz hardware to other GPIOs but there is a very good How-To written by a mod of this forum: http://forum.pimatic.org/topic/202/4-homeduino-433-mhz-sending-receiving-and-even-more/2

Ofc it needs some time to set up everything again, but in my opinion its worth!

If you have an RF receiver without a Attiny/arduino you get high CPU loads, I had 50% almost constantly.
I never had 100% but then again I dropped Pilight as soon as pimatic had homeduino.
after switching to arduino the CPU dropped to less then 10%

After I did sudo update auf upgrade and restarting the Pi May CPU Load in in the Range between 5-15%, dont know why.

I also recommend switching to pimatic-homeduino from pilight. I did that.
