No debug output

I am new to pimatic and playing for a few days now. This is my setup:
PI 2b
SRX822 and STX822 sender and receiver (433mhz), connected to GPIO 0 and 1. STX has 5v from GPIO, SRX has 3.3v from GPIO.
Eurodomest remote controlled sockets (set of 3 sockets and 1 remote).

The sockets are self learing and working. I connected then, put them in learn mode, created a switch in pimatic with protocol switch5 (homeduino) and switched on. Perfect!

Now i want to use the remote to send commands to pimatic (later on I wil expand with other 433 stuff like smoke detectors, but first I want this to work).

I have added “loglevel”: “debug” to my config. The pin settings are correct. However I got no debug input whatsoever. Not one line.

I my receiver dead or is debug not working? Any tips?

did you install wiringPi?

No. For what is it needed?

@leader21 ok. Found what it is for and installed it. Will try to get more info trough wiringpi, but help is appreciated.

wiringpi is a library for gpio access.
install it with sudo apt-get install wiringpi

still no debug output?

Nothing. There is not one letter in the debug (not even from other modules like frontend) . Is this normal.
While typing I get the first debug message: ping from homeduino. Thats all. And I am pressinb the button on the remote all the time.

well, its only guessing now.
could it be that the quartz crystal is a 315mhz instead of 433mhz?

I ordered the srx882 as an 433mhz. I cannot find the frequency on it. The crystal sais lm13.2256. I am googling for it but cannot find it yet.

Haha. Yes. From 2 meters to “almost touching”.
I think I will order another receiver. Bad thing they come from China which takes about 10 to 15 days. Good thing is it only costs $3.75 for a sender/receiver set…

or you could try it with a 3400rf / rxb6 receiver

If you think they work better I will try one of those.
I cannot think of anything else than a broken receiver (or wrong frequency) so I’m going to order a new one and wait…

Ok, I coulnd stand that it didn’t ork an found the problem:
When I type from commandline “gpio mode 0 tri” (to set input 0 to tri-state) it works!
I have to do this again after reboot…

Is there a wrong setting in pimatic which sets the input to a wrong kind of input???

good question that i cannot answer.
but you can use the crontab to set the gpio command at reboot
sudo crontab -e
scroll down to the last line and insert
@reboot gpio mode 0 tri

what about installing the gpio plugin …
