[solved]Howto acces pimatic from outside my home network
Hello all,
I have pimatic up and running. Now i also would like to have the possibillity
to acces my pimatic system when i’m not at home. My network setup is as folllowing.
I have an adsl modem/router on which 2 iptv boxes are connected and a router
for my home network. on this second router is my rapsberry pi. with ip adress 192.168.1.9.
Does anyone has a suggestion?
The Modem/Router is a zyxel P-2812HNU-F1. The router for my home network is a TP-Link WDR4300.

set in your router access to 192.168.1.9 via a dedicated port
Can’t you setup a VPN. I thought a zyxel P-2812HNU-F1 can setup VPN. That’s mutch safer then port forwarding.
It is possible but i have no idea how. In the menu vpn is avaiable.
Why do you use two routers? Is the Zyxel provided by your internet provider? If yes, turn it into bridge mode and create a VPN in your TP-Link. If it is not possible OOTB, flash DD-WRT to your TP-Link, I know that it is possible and for creating a VPN via DD-WRT there are a lot of guides available in the internet.
Additionally you have to plug all your devices to the TP-Link and let the TP-Link run the DHCP server except you’re not using static IPs for all devices.

The zyxel has port forwarding to my tp link router and in the
tp link router i setup a vpn to my raspberry.
Everything is working fine now.
