great to hear that was working i think its a bug in the Store

edit: would somebody from Germany buy me a black dot and sent them to austria? for austrian amazon-users there was no purchase during the return-process

Might be a feature…Amazon assures on this way that only people who really want to get their hands on Alexa find a way to order it.
Those people might be the best users for beta phase.

Or its just a bug

Now I’m just waiting for my Smart Lights to arrive to test hue-bridge.
And I also want to try to control Kodi with my voice. But for now I Only found english solutions I might translate when I got the time.

Do we already have a solution for 433 MHz Switches? Like the Homeduino Devices?

It depends on the product you want to return (it should be from amazon directly, not any third party dealer) and also make sure to transfer the Echo from your wishlist into your shopping basket before you go to the return options.
And as @xCite86 mentioned…this only works for germany, not for Austria

Did all that. I’m from Germany, tried with several items sold and shipped by Amazon and put the Echo to basket before. But it wasn’t shown. Maybe the item to be returned must have a higher cost than the echo? Couldn’t try that.

Nope my item was around 20€ and i returned it for echo dot. Hmm either amazon closed the gap or it simply does not work for everyone. Pity

You have to payed the product you want to return with a credit Card

I guess he meant that the product you want to return must have been paid by credit card and not via any other payment option. So if your product was paid by CC, sold and shipped by amazon, you are in germany and you have echo in your basket the “Umtausch Trick” should work

Yes I mean exacly that.

I do always pay by credit card. So no luck.

Today Amazon has fixed the trick See (German)
yesterday it has worked.

Got my invitation one day later . And ordered my echo dot now. Will start playing tomorrow
