Hello,
i want to share something which in my opinion should do every Pimatic-user.
I´m sure that many of you allready moved from the Standard Raspberry SD-Card installation to the external harddisc, but i´m also sure that still many of you are still stuck on the SD-Card.
in the past i knew that, it was possible to have the complete System on an external HDD and that you only need the SD-card during the booting sequence, but which i don´t knew that it is somehow EASY to move an existing system completely to any USB device you want.
I also have destroyed nearly 4 SD-Cards (~every 3 Month) before i decided to move on…
This Tutorial is somehow easy to use, that “even” a installation of pimatic is more time- consuming than that:
It describes exactly what you have to do, and after a reboot everything is moved to the external USB device.
All you have to do before is stopping every deamoniced service (e.g. Pimatic or appache server) and follow the inscructions.
again: I´m sure that many of you had done this before, but i was so thrilled of this process that i was forced to share this with you
