Homeduino and TFA 30.3125 unable to decode signal
-
Hello, I also have a TFA 30.3125 and receive no signal in Pimatic. The sensor is in the same room as the receiver. Are there any problems with this sensor in general?
-
I’m a little rusty on this but I think the pulseLengths in the protocol is off.
the protocol has
pulseLengths: [444, 1160, 28580]
but your debug shows
[ 728, 1184, 28916 ]
I think this pulse should work:
pulseLengths: [650, 1160, 28850]
You could try to change the coffee file

Hello, I’ll give it a try.
For Pimatic Homedouino I find it all under:
home/pi/pimatic-app/node_modules/pimatichomeduino/node_modules/homeduino/node_modules/rfcontroljs/lib/protocols/weather17.js
Am I right with that?

Yes. There is a typo in the path however. Should be
/home/pi/pimatic-app/node_modules/pimatic-homeduino/node_modules/homeduino/node_modules/rfcontroljs/lib/protocols/weather17.js

Oh yes, I have lost something. Thanks for the hint. I’ll check it out tonight if I get signal from the TFA 30.3125.

@mathias_lehmann I had the same problem some time ago and still have no solution to solve this problem. So hopefully you will be successful and share your solution.
But by now perhaps @mwittig can take this sensor from list of supported devices, because that was also the reason why I decided to order this sensor. Just to prevent others…

Just a few variants of the plus length adjustment tried. Unfortunately, the adaptation of the “weather17.js” unfortunately brings nothing.

Done. Rather than removing it completely I have applied strike-through style to the text and added a note with a warning mark which is also referring to this thread.

@mathias_lehmann As far as I can remember you should edit the coffee files and not the JS files.
The JS get’s generated by the coffee script.@developer can you confirm this?

With “rfcontroljs” the JS files are only generated at build time. On an installed version it is OK to tweak the JS files for testing. Note, this is different for other parts pimatic where the JS files are generated on-the-fly at runtime.

Ah thanks for clearing that up, I knew there was something with that

Hello, meanwhile I have tried the plugin “pimatic-rflink”. Here it works great with the sensor. Maybe that’s another approach for the plugin “pimatic-homeduino”.

Yes, rflink is known to work with that sensor and for sure, there is an issue with homeduino sketch which hopefully will be solved one day if a skilled developer looks into the matter. If you have expertise in this area your contribution will be highly appreciated.

Unfortunately I just have bought a new TFA 30.3125 because it is (still) listed as a supported device. And I ran in the same trouble as the rest I this thread …
One question about the “rflink” plugin: Is it possible to use it parallel to the ”homeduino”. I tried it yesterday (using the default settings) and after that my homeduinio did not work anymore until I’ve disabled rflink
Any hint’s?
I’m thinking about returning my TFA back to amazon (and hope it won’t scratch on Jeff Bezos Position as the new richest person on our plantCheers - Helene

Yes, homeduino can be used together with rflink. I have it so in operation with me. Important that the controller boards are integrated with the respective ID in the plugin. Whether that works depends on the built-in chip, e.g. The Arduino Nano must have an FTDI chip.

Maybe this helps?

http://www.f6fbb.org/domo/sensors/ws7000_20.phpAccording to the RFLink Homepage the TFA 30.3125 should be compatible to LaCrosse TX3-TH (or WS7000-20?), which sends using the protocol explained in the link. I try to understand it, but maybe someone is more used to it than I am …
