Hello, I upgraded to version 0.4.2 today. Unfortunately my button device does not work anymore. In Alexa App appears “Device does not respond”. In version 0.4.1 it worked great.

@mathias_lehmann could you please try to remove the buttons from Alexa? And then scan for your devices again. The id for button devices changed with 0.4.2. I guess Alexa doesn’t find the „old“ buttons anymore.

@mathias_lehmann You were right, there was bug in my changes for 0.4.2. Just released 0.4.3. The bug is squashed!

- switches are now shown as switches. The support just on and off. Just lights are dimmable from now on.
Since the last updates the groups in Alexa don’t work anymore. Alexa only switches lamps, no switches!
With Hue lamps everything is still working fine, with HomeduinoRFSwitch (WeMo Switch) Alexa says that she has “not found light”.
Can you change that again?
-
@wajowi not sure what you mean. I have a group configured in the Alexa app that contains 3 switches and I can easily switch the complete group at once.

@michbeck100 Really?
I have two Hue lamps and two switches in a group. When I say, “Alexa, turn on the light.” only the Hue lamps are switched on.
In other groups where there are only switches, Alexa says,“I didn’t find light.”
But with version 0.3.x it still worked!
-
@wajowi how is the group called? What happens if you say “switch on [group_name]”?

@michbeck100 It works with the group name. But the point of the group is that you can always switch on the light with the same command (Alexa, turn on the light).
This has worked so far.
How can I change to the previous version of the plugin?

@wajowi I don’t get it. How yan you just say “switch on the light” and a complete group is switched on? Where is the connection to the group name?

@michbeck100 The connection is the echo (dot). I have several echoes and when I am in the room where there is an echo in a group, it turns on all the lamps in the group with the “Light on” command.

I have now reinstalled v0.3.1. As Lux Light everything works as described above.
-
@wajowi The next release will switch back to hue lights emulation only. It seems that WeMo switches are not working properly

Version 0.4.5 is released. It basically reverted the WeMo support. All switches act like hue lights again.

Tried the new version in this moment, but no success. Start the search of the Echo severel times (the smart home section was cleaned before- no other devices are present).
Today I can test with a Dot of a friend maybe. Will report if this makes pimatic available as well in the Echo 2 (2. gen). -
@ortin i have the feeling that the new echo isn’t capable of connecting to devices without a smart home skill. Would be good if you could confirm this.

That’s as well my feeling as discussed here and I think it will not come with any update in future. Further I could imagine, that the older devices get an update which may will deactivate this feature.
Do we have somebody here on the board how is able to develop a Pimatic Echo skill?
