After updating to 1.2 the HomeduinoRFTemperature device isn‘t working anymore. I‘m just getting an empty blue icon without any temperature value.

@GooglyEyz
ok I’ll have a look at it -
Update worked and looks like it is working! Nice additions.
One thing I noticed, if a pir / contact is triggered there is no change in color etc. Maybe that is a possibility? -
@GooglyEyz
I found the problem and fixed it, Update 1.2.1 is in review by Apple, might take a few days@dynamite
thats a good idea! I’ll put it on my list -
Hi, I just bought the app yesterday. Thanks for developing.
I can connect locally via http, but remotely it does not work. I try with https hostname port 8443 in the settings, but it is not showing any devices. Or connecting. However, I can reach the pimatic webinterface via https://hostname:8443. Is there anything I need to change with the API?
Thanks
Karl -
@karlm261
It depends on what certificate you use for pimatic. when it is one that is signed by a official CA such as Let’s Encrypt it should work out of the box, but if you use a self-signed certificate you need to install the certificate on your iPhone.
The simplest way of doing this is sending the certificate file to yourself attached to an email and then open the attachment and install it.fell free to contact me if you need futher help
-
Ok, I see. Hm, the pimatic one could be self signed. So many servers everywhere.
Indeed, it seems I did not install the certificate yet. I’ll try it.
Thanks!

Hm, it does not seem this have solved it. I installed the certificate, but still no devices. And also no error message.

that’s strange, just to be sure: you need to enter your hostname in the first field without “https” just something like “server.yourserver.de” and you port in the second field like “8443”, and have the https switch on.
-
Yes, I did it like this.
And the webserver is reachable form the same phone. -
@karlm261
ok, I didn’t run into this kind of problem before, I don’t think you have to change something with the api.you could try if you api works by browsing to:
https://server.yourserver.de:8443/api/devices
then it should prompt you for a user and you can see a list of your devices, but I don’t think this is the problem.do you know if you have enabled to share analytic data with developers on your phone? then I may be able to see the error log
-
https://server.yourserver.de:8443/api/devices
this works fine, I see the list.I am not sure I have the data sharing enabled.
Could it be the unusual port 8443?
-
@karlm261
Hi, no the port shouldn’t matter, I use 17891 for mineI’ll check if I can see any error logs
-
I’ll just add this here and edit it in at the first post:
If you use HTTPS the name or IP has to be in the certificate, else it won’t work.
I’ll have a deeper look into this but I don’t know of a way by now.If you use a self-signed certificate you need to import it on your iOS Device, easiest way is to mail it to yourself and open the attachment.
In addition since iOS 10.3 you have to active trust your certificate by going to Settings->General->About, scroll to the end to “certificate trust settings” check your certificate -

So version 1.3 is online since yesterday.
- Removed Blur effect, replaced by loading icon in taskbar
- changed colors a bit to respect apple design guidelines
- replaced settings text with icon
- “normal” thermostats show data, but no interaction yet
- changed the color of the shutter control
- swipe left from the settings view to go back
- pull to refresh, pull screen down to reload manually
