i would appreciate this plugin for our German users
would be nice (if possible) to set a warning level for different happenings then (like on the app WarnWetter from the DWD)

here’s a glimpse of what you can set up (scrolling down there’s even more …)

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, the JSON file conatins less meta data than the records provided with ftp data service. May be it is still good enough to provide desired level of functionality. Btw, a list of all weather events can be found in legend_warnings_CAP.pdf which is part of http://www.dwd.de/DE/leistungen/gds/weiterfuehrende_informationen.zip?__blob=publicationFile&v=9

I think for the desired purpose the JSON file contains enough data.
We get the start/end times, the location, warning level and the type:

i released the first version of pimatic-dwd. It no the beautiest one at the moment but it works.

I would be glad if someone of you would test it an give me some feedback.

just a question for understanding the warning level better. level minor will display all warnings, right?

The “readme” Link does not work

After adding it to my dashboard i had a weird crash.
Everything i have in my tabs was on one Page.
Refresh didn’t help and i had to restart pimatic

i testet all links. seem to work for me.
if you are referring to the ZoneID, this cannot be shown in the github webpage.
you can download it onto your pc and open with acrobat reader

does everything now work again? maybe this is just a minor issue…

It is the link as part of the plugin info shown in the frontend. It does not yet work as the plugin has not been indexed, yet. The indexer runs once a about 2am amd it will add new plugins to https://pimatic.org/plugins. The problem should be solved automatically then.

I can’t get this to work. Creating the device seems to go fine but as soon as a want to add it i get this from pimatic-daemon.log:

[pimatic-mobile-frontend] error: Client error: Cannot read property 'length' of undefined

did you clear cache and reloaded pimatic? maybe this helps.
remember i had a similar issue but blamed it on the cache…

its nice to see that some people are trying it

@leader21 : Yes the Warning level defines the lowest level, the plugin show everything on this level and above. And yes there is some finetuning needed for the rule support, because in the attribute is only a json array with the data at the moment.

If there are problems with the frontend try clearing the browsercache. As far as i can see the most errors described here are based on missing template data because of old data in the browser cache. Eventuelly @fregger 's “length” error could be an issue but i will check it.
