Homeduino didn´t receive a 433 Mhz signal

First of all thank you all for your help!

I have copied your proposal config to my config.

Here is the debug data. After I start pimatic I go to the web interface and start dicovering. I the web interface I got no messages, but with the ssh connection.

thats your homeduino output! all works fine
unfortunately, the reception of the shown debug / device is unknown as it seems.

you may start an autodiscovery if you want to add other devices.

for your above device we need more data to maybe evaluate a RF protocol

if it is a switch you may try the rawswitch protocol

Thank you it seems to work!

But I get no info into the autodiscover window from pimatic! There I never got any 433Mhz signal.

When I scan with pilight, I got a lot of signals.
My Transmitter is an aldi switch “quigg_gt7000”.

check the homeduino debug messages
maybe the protocol is not known to pimatic.
if so, you might use the raw switch protocol

@shgmongo i had the same but is was because i didnt update the mobile frontend/homeduino. But you mentioned it is up to date so it seems its indeed an unknown protocol.

I have checked all debug massages. There is no entry.

Maybe I have to buy another sender.

But pimatic also get no signal from my temperature device.

go for the 3400rf / rxb6 like described in the hardware tip

@shgmongo strange that it worked with pilight then… Oh well…

I’m starting to think that there’s some kind of bug here as well. I started out with a cheap sender / receiver set and pilight. With that i could receive a signal from a Europe Supplies Ltd TX2 remote temperature transmitter.

Then i discovered pimatic and although i can switch led’s and relays and so on i have not succeded in receiving any RF signal, even after i bought a new -better- sender / receiver set. I’m pretty sure i correctly followed all the instructions. For pimatic to have any meaning in real life i do need the RF funcions to work.

What next?

do you have 2 esp8266 / node mcu or wemos ?
espimatic RF could be worth a try. running it for some weeks now.

I’m using an arduino nano clone, see picture.

Antenna seems to be very important with receiving signals. I have a similar setup on a breadboard. Sending signals works fine (even down in the basement), but receiving only works when the sender is directly next to the receiver. Try receiving next to the sender and see if that works.

Thanks Frank. I tried that but i got nothing. RF devices should have a range of about 15 meters, so having to hold the sender right next to the receiver would be a sign that something is not working properly, wouldn’t it?

By the way, it’s not the receiving part that is most important to me. But without it i’m not able to identify the signal of my remote control

Turns out i had to replace the arduino, all works fine now. No more cheap chinese clones for me
