My Sensors pulse water meter / Gas meter
@sweebee Dank je wel
Now I see how it works. Leaning all time I will try to implement it in my Pimatic and come back with the results later.
This is what is happening now:
In the Config:
"id": "WaterSensor",
"name": "Waterverbruik",
"class": "MySensorsWaterMeter",
"nodeid": 7,
"sensorid": 1
In the log:
debug [pimatic-mysensors]: <- MySensorsWaterMeter { sender: 7, sensor: 1, type: 24, value: ‘50’ }
In the Events:
01.03.2016 22:12:42 Waterverbruik (WaterSensor) Pulsecount 50
But in the GUI:
Unknown m3/m Unknown m3
I think there is a event mismatch.
Navigate to your pimatic-mysensors directory, and open the MySensors.coffee file.
In line 743 change “m3/m” to “flow” and in line 747 “m3” to “volume”. Than it should work.
pimatic rocks!!!

Yes, thanks. Fixed it.
YES, it works
Only in the GUI needs some finetuning, : m3/m 2m3/m m3 0.3m3
should be : flow: 2 liter/m use: 0.3 m3
Made a comment (my first…) in github at line 679 - should be liter per minute.
Is this the correct way ?
@bolliebol Did you already implement your watermeter using the solution (TCRT5000 IR Barrier Line Tracker )published on the MySensors page?
I also build this sensor without success. In a second attempt I used the instructions offered by this german site .
It seems that this approach works well.
What is your experience?
Are there other users with experience on implementing a Water Meter Pulse Sensor?
@bolliebol maybe you can write an instruction how you realized the water meter?!
It’s not that hard.
( For now I use the watermeter as gasmeter, in the end it’s the same)
Pimatic didn’t have the My Sensor pulse water meter in the “system”. sweebee have changed the Mysensors.coffee file so that the Water meter is recognised.
So:
Change the mysensors.coffee file in /home/pi/pimatic-app/node_modules/pimatic-mysensors
(I can’t see how to upload my file to this forum)
Then change the cofig file, it needs the new device (node id can be different):
{
“id”: “WaterSensor”,
“name”: “Waterverbruik”,
“class”: “MySensorsWaterMeter”,
“nodeid”: 7,
“sensorid”: 1
},
The plugin is updated today, so the water sensor is implemented.
@bolliebol, Thx for your reply. What hardware did you used (arduino mini or nano) and how did you connected to the Rpi (if you used the mini)?
@skipper79 as sensor I used a nano 5V and also the mysensors controller I used is a nano 5V.
Hello,
I would like to measure my water, energy and my gas meter.
For now i can measure my water and my energymeter but i see that bolliebol has used the watermeter for measuring the gasmeter. What do i have to change to see the right flow. The arduino sketch or in pimatic?
Thanks, gerrit
